Simmer: Cooking Directions: Add 1 package (10 oz.) Wel-Pac Japanese udon noodles to 6 quarts boiling water. Return to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered, 13 to 14 minutes, or until cooked to desired tenderness. Drain. Rinse with cold water to cool; drain well. To Serve Hot: Heat cold noodles by plunging into boiling water 1 minute; Drain. Divide noodles into serving bowls. Mix 1 part Kikkoman Memmi (soup base for noodles) with 12 parts hot water; pour over noodles. Sprinkle with finely chopped green onions, as desired. Or, top with Tempura, cooked beef, pork or chicken slices and pieces of cooked vegetables. To Serve Cold: Dip noodles into a sauce prepared with 1 part Kikkoman Memmi mixed with 5 parts cold water.
